I know that HaxeFlixel has a built-in collision system, so that accounts for pushing forces, but how did you do the pulling forces?

Foreword: I love the game.

Nevertheless, I am a perfectionist, so...

Bugs:

  • The game sometimes gets a completely black screen, but sometimes it will still allow inputs. I can tell since it still plays the sound effects from the game and plays the "hit" sounds if I click at the right times.
  • The videos tend to hiccup a lot, especially if the game is played on desktop via the Itch desktop app.
  • Not sure whether this is a "bug", but it's not possible to go to the previous image when the "How to Play" images show up; the left arrow does not work, and pressing any key or clicking anywhere will simply make the next image appear.

Nitpicks:

  • The image for "click here to start" before the intro video plays is just a feeeeew pixels too wide relative to the video, or maybe the video is not wide enough.
  • The audio file formats used are very inconsistent; some files are .wav, some are .mp3, some are .ogg, and some have multiple versions of themselves with different file formats. i recommend using .ogg
  • also one of the audio files is called "menuScreen.mp3" whereas the .ogg variant is called "menuSceen.ogg" and the typo is driving me nuts, but this one is kind of pointless to mention if you end up making all of them use the same file format

I am also reporting in

-Not a bug with the game per se, but the Itch.io desktop app can't detect the 22y18w update, so it has to be installed manually

-The "Menu" button in the top-left opens the achievements menu instead of the pause menu

-Wolves display a goat sprite when they are attacked

-"Lether" in guidebook should be "Leather"

-"Infomation" in the guidebook should be "Information"

-Loading a save resets all crop growth

-I don't know how I did this (sorry), but Mumei's stamina is stuck at 0 here and she is able to swim indefinitely in water like this. It persists when loading another save.

-Despite the fact that the ores have a new texture, they still render as the old one until a save is loaded


-Wolves sometimes get stuck running into walls or other objects (or sometimes stuck in place with nothing blocking them)


-One of my saves (which has now been accidentally overridden) couldn't load its achievements, so I think there is some potential corruption in the file saving system

-Owls of the same house all appear in the same spot in the morning, so they clip with each other and push each other away

-It's hard to get a screenshot of it, but Mumei displays the swimming animation even if she is jumping over the water at the time

-Suggestion: Make it possible to maximize the game window

A list of bugs and stuff:

Friend sometimes gets stuck in these raised areas, which is probably why he kept disappearing in the last update. However, now he can get out after a while.


Campfires don't seem to melt anything.

Tents, Houses, Bistros, and Smelteries are indestructible.

Not sure whether it's intentional, but cabbages and carrots are harvested with the shovel whereas other crops are harvested with the knife.

The guidebook says that Grapes can be grown, but they can't, so they are only obtainable from chests.

The guidebook says that the Forge is used for enhancing speed and range of vision, which is what the Sanctum does. The book also says that the Sanctum doesn't do anything.

Little typos: "Stemina" in guidebook should be "Stamina" (or "Energy"), and "WIne" should be "Wine".

Fauna's achievements don't seem to work.

The GUI checkboxes (like the ones in the Smeltery and the Barn) are toggleable, but they change back to what they were before when the GUI is re-opened. They seem to enable and disable whenever they want.

Mumei sometimes loses the ability to jump and the game has to be restarted to fix it. I'm not sure what causes it.

Mumei automatically gets off the boat when sailing into the border of the map, which strands her in the middle of the water.

Iron Ore doesn't show the correct texture when clicking "Start Game" after opening the game. It is shown as rocks without any iron.

After loading a save, trees which have already been attacked will show the default texture instead of the damaged texture.

It's possible to pick up items when the inventory is "full", but it is not possible to take them out because the GUI only shows 16 slots when there are more. For example, this screenshot shows that I have 4 leather, but I can't move it from my inventory because it's not visible, because I picked it up when my inventory was full.

I want to transfer the game and its save data to another computer, and I can transfer the game, but it always starts with no save data. Does it store data in a folder besides the execution location?
